The entire population of our planet falls unconscious for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, resulting in world-wide chaos and pandemonium. Everyone’s lives are changed as they struggle to deal with their own unique visions experienced during that global ‘blackout.’

This is the premise of Fox’s latest hit series, Flash Forward. Compelling drama, action and a very intriguing plot sets the stage for a great show to get hooked on!

Dying to know why the blackout happened, and how? Get answers as the series unravels (Like why does everyone have a flash-forward of the same day six months into the future?) with every exciting episode!

Headlined by Joseph Fiennes (Who we adored in Shakespeare in Love!) as FBI Agent Mark Benford, who is somehow entwined in the mystery.

The show airs every Monday, 10PM at Fox Channel, Sky Cable Channel 50

December 8, 1941 – a day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The United States officially entered World War II and practically overnight, thousands of Americans rushed to enlist in the armed forces.

THE PACIFIC depicts the true accounts of the lives of three US marines – Private First Class Robert Leckie, Private First Class Eugene Sledge and Sergeant John Basilone – while they are stationed in the Pacific during the height of World War II. Halfway around the world, the marines face a brutal enemy, extreme deprivation, as well as fight their own mental and emotional battles. The series explores the true human cost of war.

While the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning HBO miniseries Band of Brothers told of the experiences of a company of Army paratroopers in Europe, THE PACIFIC follows the 1st Marine Division at the forefront of many of the hardest-fought battles of the Pacific War.

With a whopping $200-million production budget, THE PACIFIC is the most expensive HBO miniseries in history. Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman once again teamed up to bring viewers this realistic, heart-wrenching and epic 10-episode series.

THE PACIFIC premieres in a special two-episode premiere on Saturday, April 3, 9PM. New episodes every Saturday, 9PM. Check out www.hboasia.com for schedules.

Hi meggurls!

It’s my first blog entry here in our website so I’m really nervous. Honestly I’d rather write in a journal than let the whole world know my thoughts, but then again I’m from an older generation, hehe. Any hoots! I hope all of you are having an awesome summer. You should really make the most out of it because you’ll miss it when you grow older but just in case you’re low on budget (like me! Haha), here are some of the cool new shows that I greatly recommend. Take your pick, relax and enjoy!

I fell in love with this show the moment I saw the first episode! The premise of Pushing Daisies is that Ned (the main character of the series) can touch dead people back to life but if that dead person stays alive for longer than a minute, another living person has to die to take his or her place (sorta like Einstein’s theory: for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction). Ned meets a detective Cod where they make money out of asking murdered people how they died, via the reward offered by loved ones or in some cases, sworn enemies. Things get complicated however, when Ned brings his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, back to life and can’t muster the strength to give her the kiss of death. It’s unlike any detective story you’ve ever seen! Think CSI meets Amelie meets MONK meets The Nightmare Before Christmas! If you love vibrant colors, interesting loveable characters and witty dialogues, you’ll definitely love Pushing Daisies!

Favorite Quote:

Ned: Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal, highway or side streets, kiss her or keep her, we make choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgiveness, it’s the best anyone can do.

Catch Pushing Daisies on 2nd Avenue every Tuesday Night at 8:00PM with replays on Sunday at 9:00PM.

I admit. I’m a fan of Josh Schwartz. From The OC to Gossip Girl and now CHUCK, Josh has been right on the money with all his creations (except maybe for The OC, hehe). But one show of his that I truly absolutely adore is CHUCK. What sets this series apart is it’s unusual take on the spy life. Sure it’s all danger, espionage, stakeouts and conspiracies, but who thought living such a precarious life could be so out-loud funny? Watch the first episode and I’m sure you’ll be hooked. If you liked Alias but found it a tad-bit depressing, be sure to watch CHUCK and be prepared for the funniest, wildest ride of your life.

Favorite Quote:

Chuck: My first stake out. Okay, okay. Yeah. What do I need to bring? Sweater? Light jacket?
Casey: You just bring that computer in your head.
Chuck: Okay, you know what, I have a lot more to offer this team other than the intersect. For instance, what are we doing for tunes tonight? I could make a stakeout mix.

Catch CHUCK on C/S Crime Suspense every Monday 8:00PM.

Well, that’s it for now girls! Hope you liked my recommendations, be sure to tell me what you think!

Till next time!
