And CHERRY Gets an A!
I guess I got really lucky when my fashionista colleague, Patricia Mae Tan, invited me to a really swanky product launch in, where else, A Venue. In case you haven’t heard, Le Manille is being swept off its feet by the latest in mobile technology. Cherry Mobile is a home-grown brand. The models are designed by a Filipino and it is designed for the Filipinos. Cool, right?
BACKGROUND
Cherry Mobile, the newest player in the local mobile communications industry, prides itself for being a homegrown brand. With true dual SIM capabilities and a suite of other multimedia features, the new collection of mobile phones under the Cherry Mobile brand bring next-generation connectivity to Filipino consumers at incredibly affordable prices.
THE PRODUCT
Four cool handsets were “introduced” to the public, complete with ramp models clad in cherry red and silver garb. At unbelievably affordable prices, my fellow Meggurls can surely strut their stuff ANYWHERE.
First up is the Cherry Mobile D20 Life. This baby in a jetblack casing has a voice recording feature; packed with an FM radio; has a 1.8″, 65K color LCD screen; a VGA camera; a MP3/MP4 player; has bluetooth 2.0; and, comes with a 2 GB-micro SD card. Each Cherry Mobile D20 Life handset sells at PhP2,990.00. Perfect for a girl who juggles really tough courses in college. How cool is that?

Next one’s the D50 Inertia. A personal favorite, the D50 Inertia comes with 1.3 megapixel compatible camera; has motion sensor; “blessed” with GPRS; bluetooth 2.0; has an FM radio and MP3/MP4 player; and, also comes with 2 GB-micro SD card. Selling at PhP3,690.00 per unit, I suggest you go grab one for yourself. You can’t go wrong with a phone encased in deep black with copper piping. I’m predicting this will sell faster than freshly baked brownies! Nice gift suggestion post college graduation, if you ask me.

Now, you can watch TV while expecting that very important call. With the Cherry Mobile M35 Integra, you also get a phone in classic metallic finish; a LCD screen at 2.2″; a camera that’s 2.0 megapixel compatible; a dual camera (whoa!); motion sensor; bluetooth 2.0; FM radio and MP3/MP4 players; and, a 2 GB-micro SD card. I believe this suits a newly graduated femme who just got offered a posh job.

The Cherry Mobile D20 Life, D50 Inertia, and M35 Integra all have dual active SIMs. Cool, isn’t it?
Last, but definitely just as loaded, is the Cherry Mobile S11 Blade. Packed with an FM radio, MP3/MP4 players, VGA camera, bluetooth 2.0, and 2 GB-micro SD card, the Blade makes you stand out with a GPRS/MMS capability, a pitch changer, and 1.8″ color LCD screen. As sharp as its name, the Blade definitely cuts through even on single SIM.

THE FACE TO LAUNCH A THOUSAND TEXT MESSAGES & CALLS
John Lloyd Cruz, Patricia’s and my suave actor of choice, was tapped to be Cherry Mobile’s brand ambassador. The best deal ever because he represents the youth well! Clean-cut, smart, fun, attractive, and yes, all out personable. John Lloyd was joined by hosts Tony Tony and Jamie Joaquin of Magic 89.9 and GAMES Up-late, respectively.
WHERE TO GET THE LATEST CHERRY MOBILE HANDSETS
All Cherry Mobile handsets are distributed by authorized dealers from Manila to Davao.
Thanks for reading my blog entry. Have to head off and buy myself a Cherry Mobile before they completely sell out. Ciao, meggurl-friends!
