It’s Time to Accessorize

Filed under: Fashion on Friday, July 30th, 2010 by meg | No Comments

Accessorize launches four inspiring collections for Autumn Winter 2010. Focusing on themes of Futuristic Fantasy, Luxe Gypset Travellers, Pastel Vintage Boudoirs and English Heritage, the stories dive into the top trends for the new season.

Fantasy World
An ethereal collection inspired by a fantastical futuristic wonderland of nymphs and woodland creatures. Modernised with a nod to digital art, whilst absorbing an outdoors essence, the range presents fragile flowers, bugs and butterflies on quirky necklaces and cuffs, giant gem cocktail rings and wet-look patent bags. This modern day romantic story invites in new items such as the textured snood and bids a welcome return to the famous pompom scarf.

Global Gypset
Taking a journey back in time to the 70s, this story brings together the inherent boho characteristics of the hippy era, with modern luxe styling and a hint of glamour. Pattern-clashing scarves in eclectic geo-florals take centre stage, backed up by embroidered heritage bags with tassels and gem stone enhancement.
Colours are spicy and exotic, drawing influence from the far-away lands of Persia and the Ottoman Empire. Sheepskin & shearling debut in this range and emphasis is drawn on gold; both brushed and bright alike.

Vintage Boudoir
Enter the girly dressing room of the vintage boudoir collection. Delightfully playing with all things pretty and feminine, the range incorporates a stylish Oriental twist. Lofty cobweb snoods, lace printed bags and kitsch sewing kit pendants and Chiwawa charms, sing girliness and fun. Pearls and Perspex drive this story and a chic nude fringed clutch boasts hero status. The feeling is delicate and whimsical with a sprinkling of magical style.

British Grace
With a nostalgic glance and 1940s wartime, this story is whole heartedly British and presents casual chic at its best. The countryside look is key amongst elements of youth and tea-stained elegance. Medals and rosettes proudly declare Brit-ruling style on bags and statement jewellery. Retro cloche hats are directional and updated union jack prints take form on holdall bags and token shoppers alike. A quirky bow-tie pendant necklace puts a stamp of style approval on the collection and a coronation crown ring is unique and frivolous.

Accessorize is available at Festival Mall, Robinson’s Ermita, Northwing SM Cebu, Greenbelt 5, Robinson’s Galleria, Trinoma, Ali Mall, Marquee Mall and SM Davao.

Gotta Get Some Zig

Filed under: Fashion on Monday, July 26th, 2010 by meg | No Comments

Sportswear power brand Reebok recently launched a revolutionary footwear that will change the landscape of one’s fitness regimen.

With the new training and running shoe, ZigTech, Reebok introduced a new technology that literally gives power to the wearer every step of the way. With its unique geometry highlighted by zig-zag soles, Reebok was able to come-up with a shoe that enables energy transfer back to actual running stride.

Everything about Reebok’s ZigTech is designed to conserve and return energy to the athlete for a soft and springy ride.

The one-of-a-kind ZigTech bottom unit showcases innovative, lightweight foam engineered to reduce wear and tear in key leg muscles by up to 20 percent, allowing the wearer to train harder and more efficiently!

The unique sole works by absorbing the impact of heel strike, sending a wave of energy along the length of the shoe and propelling the athlete forward with each step.

Bill McInnis, Reebok’s Head of Advanced Innovation, explained, “Traditional energy return is focused only on the vertical impact of the heel strike. In contrast, ZigTech is designed to transfer energy horizontally along the zig-zags so the athlete gets that energy back in the forefoot.”

The lightweight, flexible bottom unit, combined with a minimalist upper and whisper-quiet ground contact also contributes to making ZigTech a new standard in running and training footwear. This results to less strain particularly on the shins and hamstrings.

The increased ground contact also allows the wearer to capture and maintain energy throughout the entire stride.

The new technology was tested under rigorous conditions back in the Reebok training labs, and was proven to work effectively even after an accumulated 17,500 hours of running, and 27,000 hours of casual activities.

The new Reebok Zigtech is available in three state-of-the-art, eye-catching variants: Reebok Zigpulse, Reebok Zigfuel, and Reebok Zigenergy.

Zig Fuel, Women’s Running, P4995

ZigTech is a multi-purpose training shoe perfect for any mid to high impact training activities. In addition to running, ZigTech also provides the necessary support and stability required for conditioning based training activities.

Reebok ZigTech will change the way you train.

Reebok ZigTech is available at Reebok concept stores in Megamall, Trinoma and Festival Mall and at The Shoe Shop Rockwell and Royal Sporting House Robinson’s Ermita.

An American Classic

For Spring/Summer 2010, GUESS unveils a denim focused campaign that intertwines GUESS’ rich denim heritage and the raw sensuality that has characterized the brand for the past few decades. The images, shot against a backdrop reminiscent of the old west at the Melody / Veluzat Ranch, Placerita Canyon and Santa Clarita Valley in California, sets the stage for this American classic tale. The denim pieces are mixed with nudes, ditsy floral prints and western-inspired plaids, which pop against the natural earth tones and vivid blues and greens of nature, telling a story that interlocks the GUESS name with American history.

Tribal influences can be drawn from the earth tones of the collection, as well as the uninhibited poses of the models. Loose draped tunics, western and prairie inspired blouses and fringe detailing compliments the women’s collection, while vintage paisley prints and rugged denim shirts are paired with the men’s denim. Although a majority of the images are tonal, pops of bright blues and burnt oranges bring to mind a luxurious destination far from the everyday life.

Seductive shots of Candace Boucher, seen in the GUESS fall 2009 campaign, Vanessa Hessler, Jacey Elthalion and Bruno Santos, a former GUESS model, are great canvas’ for the clothing. The natural environment, bohemian / western inspired clothing and the spirit of peace seen throughout the story, are captured by renowned photographer Raphael Mazzucco.

Under the direction of GUESS, Inc. Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Marciano, and photographer Raphael Mazzucco, the GUESS spring/summer 2010 campaign manages to re-invent the brand and position it as a leader in the denim and contemporary marketplace. “At GUESS, we strive to develop and put out a collection that allows our customer and potential customer to escape from their everyday life and into a world of discovery,” says Paul Marciano. “Over the years, GUESS has become synonymous with America, denim and fashion. The Spring 2010 collection is a perfect reflection of everything GUESS stands for.”

Known for unforgettable campaigns and trend-setting clothing and accessories, GUESS offers timeless fits of denim jackets, vintage inspired tee shirts, jeans, western-inspired button downs button, and flirty cap-sleeve peasant blouses.

Look for these GUESS images in upcoming issues of top fashion and lifestyle magazines, at www.guess.com, in GUESS retail stores, outdoor media, and on collateral materials.

The 8 Dimensions of Healthy Fairness

Neutrogena unlocks the secret to fair and radiant skin by taking skincare whitening technology to new heights with the launch of the Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Range, a line of skincare products specially formulated to brighten, protect and deliver fair, even-toned skin for healthy, lasting radiance.

“Having decoded the eight dimensions of Fine Fairness®, the latest Neutrogena range combines the most advanced skincare technology to provide a holistic approach that targets all the aspects of skin radiance,” explained Neutrogena brand manager Gabby Roxas. “Fair, radiant skin is achieved through Neutrogena’s eight-dimensional approach to fine fairness – Protect, Shield, Lighten, Renew, Block, Calm, Prevent and Restore.”

Each of the products under the Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Range work synergistically to help women achieve fair skin. With Neutrogena’s HealthyWhite™ Complex, a combination of natural ingredients that effectively work on the surface and deep within skin to provide women with visible skin-tone improvement.

The Fairness Regimen

The Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Cleanser (P297) is the first step in achieving long lasting radiance. This purifies the skin as it thoroughly removes impurities, helping improve overall fairness and clarity. The rich and creamy foam removes dirt, oil and dead skin cells without stripping skin of its natural moisture. It also contains Vitamin C, Essential Soy and skin-lighteners to improve fairness and translucence of skin.

The Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Toner(P458.25) is a whitening toner that helps improve overall fairness and translucence. It contains Vitamin C and Essential Soy™ to help reduce discoloration for a more even skin tone. Special liposome delivery system deposits whitening ingredients into skin to help lighten overall complexion. Natural extracts and skin conditioners also replenish moisture, keeping skin soft and hydrated.

The Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Lotion SPF 30/PA++(P720) prevents the appearance of melanin on the inside and at the same time, moisturizes and protects skin on the outside. With HealthyWhite™ Complex and light-diffusing minerals, it boosts the whitening process and reduces uneven pigmentation. In addition, the UVA and UVB formula with SPF 30 shields skin from darkening and photo damage. This oil-free whitening lotion improves overall skin fairness, reduces dullness and sallowness, while smoothening skin and making pores less visible.

Suited for use at night, the Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Cream(P774) protects inner skin against melanin to give an even, translucent skin tone. It also has high concentrations of HealthyWhite™ Complex, thereby giving skin a healthy, rosy glow while you sleep.

“Maximum results of the Neutrogena Fine Fairness® Range are best achieved when all of the products in the range are used synergistically,” added Roxas. “With the extensive research and technology put into the development of the Fine Fairness® Range, Neutrogena promises to continuously deliver real and effective results that women will see and experience once they try the products in the line.”

The four core Fine Fairness® products are now available in stores nationwide .
